Jason at MSI Pharma is recruiting for an Antibody Formulation Development Scientist to join a global biopharmaceutical company within the Neurology and Immunology fields at their global discovery research centre to the west of LondonThis is a 12 month contract role with the strong possibility of extension and comes with a salary bracket of £25 - £28ph.
My client is focused on neurology and immunology, treating thousands of patients across the world and addressing unmet needs. The research teams are continuously working to advance their science knowledge by leveraging scientific advances and skills in areas such as genetics, biomarkers and human biology.
We are seeking an experienced Scientist to join the Biological Formulation Development group and undertake an essential role in supporting all ongoing projects by supplying efficient formulations for all stages of the monoclonal antibody development process from Toxicology studies to Phase 3 Clinical studies. The group is continuously looking at improving and developing fast and efficient formulation technology platforms thus enhancing the stability of standard antibodies as well as novel antibody formats.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing experiments or analysis, enabling non-clinical or clinical studies
- Supporting preformulation laboratory activities which include laboratory set-up and provision of technical resources
- Authoring formulation protocols, reports and supporting documentation, based on a deep understanding of biochemical or physical degradation routes of antibody-derived molecules.
Holding a Masters or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology (or equivalent) you will have gained demonstrated laboratory experience, knowledge and application of new and developing technologies.To be successful, you must have experience in protein/antibody analysis (HPLC /UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, MFI) with experience in formulation development seen as an advantage. A high level of numeracy and the ability to critically evaluate data is also required.
