Veeva EDC & CDB IT Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Location: Remote EU

Engagement Status: Freelance position until end of 2026 (extension possible)

Overview

We are working in partnership with a leading pharmaceutical organisation and are looking for a Veeva Vault IT SME to support and guide the Veeva EDC and CDB applications within the Clinical Data domain of the Veeva Development Cloud. As a Veeva EDC & CDB IT SME, you will provide expert technical guidance, design input, and hands-on support across clinical data systems. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal performance, configuration, validation, and integration of Veeva EDC and CDB applications, while acting as a trusted technical reference within cross‑functional project teams.

Requirements

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for Veeva EDC and CDB applications
• Provide technical design input with a strong business analysis mindset
• Support system configuration, enhancements, and integrations across platforms
• Participate in project teams delivering new solutions and system improvements
• Own and execute change requests end‑to‑end, including testing and documentation
• Maintain technical documentation, specifications, and procedures
• Stay current with Veeva product updates, best practices, and new features
• Coach and support stakeholders through knowledge transfer and system adoption

Hard Skills

• Hands‑on experience with Veeva Vault (EDC & CDB)
• GxP‑regulated systems and validation (IQ/OQ/testing)
• Data migration and Vault Loader experience
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integrations
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience
• Veeva Vault Platform Administration certification (mandatory)
• Fluent English
