In your role you will:
- Assume technical responsibility in development projects in the field of Class II and III devices
- Promote the new and further development of mechanical designs for these systems
- Bring your high creative potential to identify future-oriented innovations
- Analyse product requirements in coordination with product management and create functional specifications
- Implement these ideas into successful products in close cooperation with the project manager and within an interdisciplinary team from development, product management, regulatory and clinical affairs, engineering and purchasing
- Form the interface to suppliers and engineering with regard to manufacturing processes in plastics technology
Your profile:
- A degree in mechanical engineering, plastics technology, medical technology, or comparable course of study
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the development of medical devices
- Passion to experiment theoretically and practically
- Relevant experience in the design and construction of complex plastic components and the relevant manufacturing technologies (e.g. injection moulding)
- In-depth knowledge of the use of CAD construction software (ideally with SolidWorks and Creo)
- Fluent written and spoken English and enjoy working in international teams
