Real World Evidence (RWE) Expert – Innovation & Solutions

Overview

We are partnered with a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation and are seeking a is seeking a Real World Evidence (RWE) Expert to support the design, execution, and interpretation of real-world evidence and insights that inform strategic R&D and external decision-making. This role contributes to the Global RWE Strategy and supports innovation across clinical development programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and execute the Global RWE strategy and tactical plan
• Design and deliver observational RWE studies (protocols, analysis plans, execution)
• Generate disease insights using internal and external real-world data
• Drive innovative study designs and advanced analytics approaches
• Collaborate with external RWE vendors and cross-functional internal stakeholders
• Interpret and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ensure alignment of RWE activities with program and clinical development strategies

Hard Skills

• Experience delivering prospective and/or retrospective observational studies
• Strong expertise in causal inference methodologies (e.g. target trial emulation, propensity scores, instrumental variables, interrupted time series)
• Experience working with real-world data sources and advanced analytics
• Knowledge of clinical development, particularly Phase I–II clinical trials
• Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights

Soft Skills

• Strong scientific curiosity and passion for data-driven decision-making
• Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
• Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional, global environments

Education

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, pharmacy, data science, public health, or a related field
