Procurement Specialist – Sterile Drug Product External Manufacturing

Engagement: Freelance ASAP for 18 months (possible extension)

Overview

We are partnered with a leading global pharmaceutical company seeking a Senior Supplier / Category Support Specialist to support procurement and external manufacturing activities within the Sterile Drug Product network. This is a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who can quickly take ownership and deliver results.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Knowledge of external manufacturing and supplier management.
• Understanding of the CMO landscape, ideally within sterile drug product manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant procurement or supply chain certifications (e.g. CIPS) are advantageous.
• Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management within a regulated industry.
• Experience working with CMOs or external manufacturing partners preferred.
