Medical Information Systems and Processes

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Information Systems and Processes Contractor to join our Global Medical Information team. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, compliance, and innovation across Medical Information systems and processes. You will lead system implementation, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems & Process Management:
- Implement, maintain, and optimise Medical Information systems and tools (e.g., enquiry management, reference/document management, dashboards, intranet sites).
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage lifecycle of Medical Information content across internal and external platforms.
- Oversee reporting and analytics deliverables, including standard and ad hoc reports.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy standards and safe harbour requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Management:
- Partner with IT, Compliance, Quality, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations for seamless integration.
- Manage external vendors to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Training & Knowledge Management:
- Maintain and improve departmental training materials.
- Deliver system training and ongoing education for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven track record in project leadership and operational excellence.
- Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and embrace new technologies.
- Expertise in project management, change management, and problem-solving in global, matrixed settings.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MS in Health Informatics is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Salesforce-based enquiry systems, Veeva Vault, EndNote, Power BI, Pimcore, CRM platforms, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of GxP validation terminology.
- Experience supporting global or multi-geography Medical Information operations.
