About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Resource Manager to support clinical development through advanced forecasting, modelling, and data driven resource planning. This role plays a critical part in enabling accurate portfolio level resource demand insights, improving forecast accuracy, and supporting strategic decision making across clinical development.

The Resource Manager will partner closely with clinical operations, portfolio leadership, and analytics teams to develop and continuously enhance resource forecasting algorithms, dashboards, and metrics. This position is ideal for an individual with deep experience in clinical development operations and a strong analytical mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and ongoing improvement of resource forecasting algorithms for clinical development roles
  • Model future resource demand across portfolio, program, and functional levels
  • Develop innovative dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to measure forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness
  • Generate data driven insights and recommendations to support resource planning decisions
  • Prepare high quality portfolio resource demand reports and executive ready presentations
  • Explore and assess how AI and advanced analytics can be leveraged within clinical resource management
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to translate portfolio changes into resource demand forecasts
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, forecasting, and analytics processes

 

Required Skills and Experience

Clinical and Professional Experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in clinical development or clinical research operations
  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, modelling, and analytics within a clinical development setting
  • Significant experience in portfolio level resource planning or capacity planning is strongly preferred

Technical and Analytical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex calculations and modelling
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Word for executive level reporting
  • Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with SQL or other data query tools is preferred
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, business, or a related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Candidates with significant experience in forecasting, modelling, and analytics within a clinical development setting, typically 20 or more years, will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
