Business Functional Analyst – Workday Reporting & Dashboard Consultant

Location: Open to fully remote or hybrid (King of Prussia, PA)

Engagement Status: Freelance– 3 months

Overview

We are partnered with a large pharmaceutical who are a seeking an experienced Workday Reporting & Dashboard Consultant for a short‑term contract engagement to support the design, development, and deployment of reporting and analytics solutions within Workday. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders and internal teams to gather reporting requirements, design insightful dashboards, configure Workday Hubs, ensure appropriate security access, and support testing and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Workday reporting specialist with a strong analytics mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting and analytics requirements
  • Design, develop, and deploy Workday dashboards and custom reports
  • Configure and enable Workday Hubs to provide centralized access to dashboards and reports
  • Perform data validation and testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions
  • Review, adjust, and validate Workday security groups to ensure proper access and compliance
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address feedback from business users
  • Troubleshoot reporting, dashboard, and access‑related issues
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation, technical specifications, and test scripts
  • Ensure documentation is up to date for all deployed dashboards and reports
  • Provide knowledge transfer and support to internal teams as required

Hard Skills & Technical Requirements

  • 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with Workday Reporting & Analytics
  • Strong experience building Workday dashboards and custom reports
  • Proven experience configuring Workday Hubs
  • Solid understanding of Workday security groups and role‑based access controls
  • Experience translating business reporting requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience supporting testing cycles and UAT
  • Strong documentation skills (design documents, test scripts, configuration documentation)

Education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics
  • Experience working with HR and Payroll modules in Workday
  • Background in a consulting or Workday implementation environment
