We are partnering with a major Biopharma to recruit an Associate Procurement Manager (Marketing & Selling – EU).
This role supports regional procurement strategy execution, enhances supplier relationships, drives value creation, and ensures effective sourcing across marketing & selling categories.
You will be instrumental in end‑to‑end sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, sustainability initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Network Strategy
- Translate procurement strategies into operational activity across the business
- Build and nurture strong supplier relationships, providing insights from market and sourcing activity
Supplier Segmentation & Selection
- Support development of supplier segmentation and commercial relationship models aligned to business strategies
- Identify potential suppliers and maintain effective commercial relationships
- Contribute to sourcing recommendations and governance reviews
Contracting & Negotiation
- Manage full RFI/RFQ processes using approved procurement tools
- Analyse market trends and supply landscape to support fact‑based decision‑making
- Collaborate with Legal on contract terms, negotiate T&Cs, and embed KPIs/SLA requirements
Performance & Risk Management
- Support assessment of supplier performance and act as escalation point where needed
- Ensure risk mitigation strategies are incorporated into contracts and contingency plans shared across teams
Sustainability & Compliance
- Apply sustainability frameworks and ensure sustainability criteria are integrated into supplier selection and contracting
- Manage PO approval (within threshold) and maintain compliance with relevant procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement ecosystem
Requirements
Education & Background
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree beneficial (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic procurement or sales roles
- Experience in Pharma or agencies supporting Pharma (Marketing, Medical, Market Research, Media) is highly recommended
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective supplier relationships
- Experience managing procurement projects, timelines, and deliverables
- Proficiency in contract drafting, reviewing, and understanding key legal implications
- Strong analytical capability and use of procurement software and data tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders
- Collaborative team player with agility and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Knowledge of supplier markets in marketing & selling categories
- Fluent in English
