Associate Director of Commercial Operations

Location: Fully remote UK & Ireland

Engagement Status: 6 month contract

 

Overview

We have partnered with a high‑growth oncology biotech and to find someone to support the launch of a novel solid tumours asset across the UK & Ireland. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations & Customer Engagement, this role will lead brand strategy, cross‑functional execution, and customer engagement across multiple indications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the UK & Ireland Solid Tumours Brand Team through multiple launches
  • Develop and execute commercial strategy, brand plans, and tactical programmes
  • Drive cross‑functional collaboration across Commercial, Medical, and Analytics
  • Partner with Business Analytics on market insights, KPIs, and forecasting
  • Deliver omnichannel strategies driven by customer insight and segmentation
  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and performance tracking
  • Build strong relationships with external KOLs and partners
  • Ensure GxP compliance, ethical conduct, and patient‑centric decision‑making
  • Represent the company at UK, Ireland, and European meetings and congresses

 

Hard Skills

  • Pharmaceutical commercial operations experience (sales, marketing, analytics, insights, SF effectiveness)
  • Proven UK & Ireland product launch experience
  • Oncology marketing and/or sales experience (PD‑(L)1 preferred)
  • Strong brand strategy, forecasting, and financial planning capability
  • Experience delivering omnichannel marketing strategies
  • Solid understanding of GxP, compliance, and governance requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced qualification advantageous)
  • 8+ years pharmaceutical commercial/marketing experience
  • 3+ years oncology experience (PD‑(L)1 preferred)
  • Proven UK & Ireland launch experience
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder influence skills
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and execution capability
