Overview
We are supporting our client to find an experienced Associate Director, Global Medical Publications to join a high-performing Research, Development & Sciences function. This role will play a critical leadership position in the planning, execution, and delivery of global scientific publications, working within a complex, cross‑functional, matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of global medical and scientific publications.
- Ensure compliance with GPP, ICMJE, and publication governance standards.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Global Affiliates.
- Manage external vendors, agencies, and publication budgets.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and multiple concurrent publication projects.
- Engage with external authors and thought leaders to support high‑quality scientific output.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD preferred).
- 10+ years’ experience in pharma, medical communications, or a related environment.
- 3+ years’ direct experience in scientific publications planning and execution.
- Strong knowledge of GPP, ICMJE, and publication best practices.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and complex global stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- CMPP (ISMPP) certification
- Publication management systems and dashboards experience
- Strong project management background
- Experience working with global affiliates and external authors
